Contrast Culture Training

The aim of this training course is to sensitise participants to verbal and non-verbal aspects of a specific foreign culture that can influence communication. It is suitable for managers and anyone else who has or will have contact with this particular culture or who will be travelling to the particular country on business.

We make direct comparisons between the cultures in question by comparing the often invisible norms and values of ones own and the foreign culture. We begin to recognise differences and similarities emerge and tolerance increases, we better understand other ways of looking at things and as a result communication improves. We explore behaviour and procedures that occur in our professional and private lives that are determined by our culture and we work out solutions to possible conflict situations and make suggestions as to how to deal with them or avoid them all together.
